September 3rd , 2007 - 1-Year Anniversary Message
We want to thank all of our friends & family who have supported us from the start, and to those who have since become part of The Uptown Dog community.
We want to express our sincerest gratitude to everyone who has given TUD great feedback and encouragement, enabling us to realize our dreams of creating a place in Unionville (York Region) where dogs & family could visit together and feel welcomed.
Since its inception a year ago, it's been a wild ride from the start. There have been minor hiccups, and of course, plenty of excitement and lots of fun.
Our hopes were to share our passion and ideas with others, regarding the importance of nutrition and the general well-being of our fur-babies. We're proud to boast that none of the products we carried were part of any pet food recalls!
With the insistence to carry only good and reputable brands, we've eliminated "questionable" foods / treats, thus offering peace of mind to our customers. It ensures we only stock items that we believe in, and feel offer the highest quality and best value -- these are the very same products which we give to our own pooch, Liloo.
TUD strives to continually improve upon the select products and services which has made us stand out from others.
We look forward to the next anniversary, and hope that you are an integral part of TUD family as we continue growing and share in the wonderful joys of the canine world.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Please note effective immeditately, we will not be accepting new* grooming clients at this time.
In order to maintain our high-level of service based on our unique one-on-one cage-free concept and to ensure a stress-free calm spa environment, we can only accomodate a finite amount of grooms per day.
Thank you for your understanding of our decision at the present time.

July, 2007 - Grooming/services fees increase slightly.
Due to increased operating & material costs, The Uptown Dog has increased its Grooming rates slightly. The outstanding service and care that your pooch currently deserves will remain exceptionally high -- thats our promise.
We want all pooches to enjoy their every visit with us, and want them to look forward to their grooms as most fur-babies currently do!
July 4, 2007 - Markham Animal Licenses can now be purchased at The Uptown Dog.
Markham Animal Control and Licensing -
It is a bylaw requirement that all domestic animals be licensed with the Town of Markham. Licensing your dog or cat could play a critical role in identifying your pet should it become lost.
Drop in today to pick up your new licence (or renew) for every dog and/or cat you have.
Animal Licence Application Forms are available in-store, or for your convenience download here
*Licences expire December 31st of each year. Bylaw No. 205-254 (148k/25p) as amended, requires that every cat and dog shall be licensed annually. Owners of unlicensed pets are subject to a $100 fine.
